EMPOWERMENT AND EQUALITY!

ree

I encourage you to advocate on behalf of you and others on things that matter. Below i share with you today part of the write up i had done for a paper recently, there are lot of questions, however these are some of our advocacy in action, sharing with our stakeholders that it is possible. If you want to partner to get in touch with us.

1) What does equality everywhere means to you?

To me #equality everywhere means i am not limited in anything i do; that showing up as myself is enough i am represented in every aspect of the society.

2) Why do you advocate for equal rights for girls and women?

I believe girls and women deserve safe spaces where they can express themselves and become self actualised. I advocate for equal rights for girls and women because they deserve to see themselves represented in every aspect of society.

3) What are your mission in empowering women?

My mission is to empower women with access to safer community standards, economic opportunities and fight for their rights - #generation equality movement.

4) What motivates you to do this work?

I am motivated by the people i work with, help and those that support us. Having the opportunity to be part of their journey brings me so much joy. Reminding them of their worth and amplifying their voices motivates me to create more spaces of empowerment for them and many.

5) What are the main challenges you experience in your work to advance gender equality?

Sometimes the scepticism of the general in advancing gender equality can make my work challenging. However, countering the doubters also creates a great space for education and stating conversation.

6) What progress are you seeing in wider greater equality movement?

The conversation has been sparked and the actions are following; I am beginning see more men get engaged both as allies in the movement and supporting partners willing to hold space for women in their lives and women everywhere.
